The emergence of fixed and mobile TV and radio applications offers great perspectives for the broadcasting industry to enable new services on all kinds of devices ranging from car to tablets and mobile phone. Advanced video/audio coding schemes and high data rates provided by broadcast networks represent the natural evolution of digital television to the mobile industry. Since 2000, DiBcom has worked on implementing efficient reception techniques into advanced integrated circuits to meet this market demand.
Several Wireless Standards have emerged over the last few years to increase multimedia and data access in mobile situation. As an example, the third generation UMTS system for mobile telephony offers a higher bit rate but still fairly limited and is not well suited for broadcast services such as TV or radio. Our vision to use broadcast networks for such services became a reality as the digital TV standards focused at receiving TV in mobile devices including PNDs, tablets, and even mobile phones.
Today, DiBcom is offering a wide range of Integrated Circuits specialized for each of these markets. The high performance, the low power consumption, the small size and the integration of advanced features offer the best solutions on the market to our customers.
DiBcom vision is to enable TV reception from any Broadcast network anywhere at any time, in complement with the developing Internet based Video content. DiBcom has developed a chip that implements all the required Signal Processing to receive any Broadcast TV signal by software implementation. This technology can be deployed in all applications ranging from Automotive to Mobile Phone or even Set Top Boxes and LCD TVs that are shipped around the World with different standards and applications.
